Primary Purpose:

Provides technical and analytical information management solutions through the use of software and databases for domestic or international projects. Functions in a GIS Specialist capacity under general supervision, performs routine aspects of data administration, creation, analysis, reporting, mapping and/or application development. Applies knowledge of GIS and information management principles to prescribed techniques and procedures to complete project assignments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

•Maintain databases for asset management of the projects

•Compile, modify and analyze data to support preparation of maps, tables, graphs, databases and reports

•Conduct research and development on latest technologies and skills applicable to engineering project

•Establish and maintain document files with data references, analytical methods, calculations

•Develop GIS-based tools, applications, databases, or similar solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors' degree in Physical, Earth, or Life Science from an accredited university; or equivalent job-related experience. Good knowledge of GIS applications / development tools as applicable. Exposure to engineering-related concepts and functions desired. UK Qualification: Working towards industry recognised qualification or chartership e.g. RGS chartered Geographer.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

•Degree in Geomatics or related discipline

•Proficient in Esri ArcGIS

•Experienced in preparation of photomontages and knowledge on Photoshop and CorelDraw would be preferred but not required

•Willing to learn GIS modelling and other computer softwares

•Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility and hardworking

•Interested in developing career path in civil engineering field

•Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
