Primary Purpose:

Responsible for the field management for complex subcontracts involved with execution of large engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. Includes but not limited to managing, identifying and tracking field subcontract changes to minimize potential cost and schedule impacts while providing administrative and operational oversight of assigned subcontracts.

This is a Project based position. Upon completion of Project assignment will transition to the Overland Park, KS office to support Proposal or upcoming Project efforts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all subcontracts are performed within the guidelines of the executed subcontract agreement and any changes are managed consistently and efficiently

• Leads routine evaluation of subcontractor bill of quantity and schedule progress with Field Engineering Manager and Project Controls Manager

• Prepares Request for Modification Proposals (RFMP's) and issue to entities affected

• Reviews RFMP's for commercial compliance and works with Field Engineering to confirm Technical compliance

• Prepare Work Authorizations (WA's) that result from the change management process and issue to entities affected

• Maintain a record of all WA’s issued and interface with the design office to issue contract revisions as required.

• Compile contract revisions or change orders for execution

• Maintain appropriate logs, records, and other documentation

• Coordinate with the design office as necessary to administer the construction and supplier contracts

• Track all Technical Field Service by documenting each visit and coordinating the addition/deletion of time from the original Contract

• Review invoices for and Subcontracts (RFMP’s, WA’s and Change Orders) and Supply Contracts (Backcharges, TA time)

• Closeout all field contracts

• Train others within the project team on the change management process

• Provide input to policy and procedure review and development process

• Provide strategic guidance to internal project management

• Ability to handle mildly complex construction claims independently

• May lead others while receiving minimal supervision

Minimum Qualifications:

Ten (10) years of relevant experience in Subcontracts, Construction Project Management, Procurement or proven ability to perform at the capacity identified herein. Requires field experience as a subcontracts manager, superintendent, foreman or related position. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Proven Oil & Gas industry experience and broad understanding of construction and subcontract language associated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects

• Significant experience working with complex multi-million dollar subcontracts

• Site execution experience and related technical knowledge necessary to manage the works

• Past Oil & Gas experience on Chemical, Refinery or LNG projects
