Black & Veatch Legal Specialist in Mumbai, India
To support Legal & Compliance Head India in discharging the legal depts. functions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviewing tenders, RFP, tender risk review, client contracts, sub-contract Agreements, Purchase orders etc.
Review, vet and draft the contracts like NDA, Leave and License Agreements, Lease Agreements, Service Agreements, Powers of Attorney etc.
Correspondence with client, partner, regulatory authorities during the contract execution stage from legal perspective.
Other legal documentation as may be required.
Co-ordination with outside counsels, seeking opinions
Support and understanding about litigation and arbitration.
To work with Company Secretary in administration of compliance system and contract repository system in place as required.
Operational knowledge about insurance, regulatory compliances.
Willing to support ethics & compliance.
Individual contributor with no subordinates. Will be part of global legal team.
LLB from UGC recognized university.
8-10 years post qualification experience in the legal dept of large EPC organization (MNC preferred) .
Thorough knowledge of legal aspects in tenders, bid submission, procurement, construction.
Conceptual clarity on the legal principles & Indian laws.
Good drafting skill.
Good English speaking and writing ability.
Knowledge of internet legal research tools.
Operational skill of computer and computer savvy.
Good verbal & writing communication skill.
Good human relations skills/ team player
Strong multi-tasking abilities
2-5 years corporate law or paralegal experience required.
