As assets age and deteriorate, understanding their current condition and how that condition is changing becomes an increasingly important component of informed, cost-effective decision making.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Condition Assessment - Technical Leader will be responsible for oversight of the technical work performed by the condition assessment team throughout the Americas. The role also includes branding and maintaining B&V’s technical qualifications through conference attendance, interaction with vendors, and presentations.
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 15 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years focused on inspection through rehabilitation of water, wastewater and storm water conveyance infrastructure. Capabilities with facilities are also desirable. The position will serve as a technical engineering expert and have a broad understanding of failure modes and life spans of materials and facilities, such as steel, concrete, pipelines, structures, pumps and treatment works. Experience in forensic analyses is desirable, as well as a good understanding of both inspection and rehabilitation technology. Experience with research related work and professional organization contacts are also desirable.
